By using YarnWeaver or YarnPocket (“the Service”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Your account and content
- You are responsible for the email account you use to sign in and for activity under your session.
- You retain ownership of the writing, notes, media, and other content you create or upload (“Your Content”).
- You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate the Service for you (and for people you explicitly share a project with).
- You are responsible for having the rights to any material you upload or paste into the Service.
2. AI providers — your choice, your responsibility
YarnWeaver is a writing workspace that can send prompts and project text to third-party AI providers you select (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI/Grok, a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint, or a local Ollama instance). Provider availability may change.
- You choose the model / provider for each forge or AI action (including when you use a trial/server key we may offer for a provider).
- When you run an AI action, relevant text from Your Content (such as premise, notes, cast, outline, or draft excerpts) is sent to that provider so it can generate a response.
- Those providers are independent companies with their own terms, privacy policies, retention practices, and product roadmaps. YarnWeaver does not control how a provider uses data once it receives it under their terms.
- It is your choice and your responsibility to decide which provider to use, to review that provider’s terms and privacy policy, and to accept any risks of sending Your Content to them—including risks related to confidentiality, training, retention, or competition. YarnWeaver does not use your manuscripts to train models. Cloud AI providers you choose have their own policies.
- Bring-your-own-key (BYOK) keys you save are stored so the Service can call the provider on your behalf. You are responsible for the keys you supply and for usage billed by that provider.
- Local options (such as Ollama) keep inference on machines you control when configured that way; you are still responsible for how you run and secure that setup.
3. What YarnWeaver does and does not promise
- We provide tools to help you plan, draft, revise, capture research, collaborate, and export. Output quality varies by provider, prompt, and project.
- AI output may be inaccurate, inconsistent, or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing and editing anything you publish or rely on.
- The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service for unlawful content, abuse of other users, attempts to break security, or automated abuse of the Service or connected AI providers.
- We may suspend or terminate access for misuse or to protect the Service and other users.
5. Collaboration and sharing
- If you share a project, you are responsible for whom you invite and for what they can see or edit under the role you assign.
6. Changes
- We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. The “last updated” date above will change when we do.
